Learning to build a fire and more!
Theory plays an important role in our program but what we value most is coming together, embracing our differences, and learning to enjoy ourselves and our time with others in a relaxed atmosphere.
We believe this is one of the best ways to support teen mental health!
Each session includes tea, chocolate, all craft materials, and printouts.
We ask those who can to please bring a plate of snacks to share.
To book your spot, please email me at tessa.bobir@yahoo.com OR to speak with me directly, phone 0423 398 186.
This is a wonderful space to make new friendships and a great experience for friends to attend together.
To organize a private gathering please get in touch via our contact page.
Note: We run groups dependent on the age and maturity level and needs of the group, younger girls will not be in an older girls group and vice versa.

celebration gathering
To wrap up our 12-week program, we invite mothers, aunties, sisters, and grandmothers to join us for a celebratory evening. This special event will include a circle co-hosted by the young women themselves, where you’ll hear about what the girls have been learning and what they’ve enjoyed the most. Together, we’ll eat, giggle, and be pampered in various ways.
What the Young women had to say:
It was a really cool thing, where you get to learn more about periods and pregnancy (N, 14)
A safe, loving, and welcoming environment fostering honesty and fun. Very interesting and taught me important things. Love everyone here, The girls are wonderful friends and Tessa is the most badass person. Wish it didn’t have to end ( H, 14)
So fun and amazing, had the best time with these girls, always looking forward to these nights, so sad this is about to finish. (C,14)
Very Fun and you learn so much about yourself. (A, 14)
A fun and spiritual experience. (A, 14)
what some of the mamas had to say:
"Love my girl learning about the female body and all the wonders it does, this is definitely something I missed out on. Understanding her body and her uniqueness of her being is so important to me. She absolutely LOVES these circles. "
~
Hey Tess, N Loved it.
She was so bubbly and happy when she got home. Thanks so much for the time you put in and the guidance you give the girls. Can't tell you how helpful that is at this point in time for the kids.
~
"Thank you Tessa for creating an unforgettable experience for my 12 year old daughter to be in the company of girls her age in a safe and supportive environment. Your young women's circles provide a much needed space outside of home, school and sports to openly explore the physical, social, and emotional changes relevant to young womanhood; to access quality information; ask questions and to offer support and be supported by other young women. My daughter particularly enjoyed rugging up and singing songs around the fire under the stars. Every part of the course was lovingly and thoughtfully prepared, from the beautiful essential oil blends the girls made, to the gifts, messages and mementos they brought home. Thank you inviting my daughter into your space, recognising her uniqueness and sharing your wisdom and kindness."
framework

🌱 The Journey of Becoming 🌸
This is the framework that sits underneath our Young Women’s Leadership Program.
I chose the life cycle of a flower because becoming who we are isn’t something that happens all at once. Like a seed, we need the right conditions to grow — safety, nourishment, connection, space to explore and the freedom to become ourselves.
🌱 Seed — I Belong
We begin with safety, welcome and connection. Before we can grow, we need to know that we belong.
🌿 Sprout — I Discover
We begin to explore who we are, understand our bodies, emotions, strengths and experiences.
🍃 Leaves — I Care
We learn that caring for ourselves isn’t selfish. We explore nourishment, wellbeing, rest, self-care and recognising what we need.
🌳 Strong Stem — I Stand
We develop confidence, self-trust and a sense of our values. We learn to use our voice, recognise our boundaries and stand firmly in who we are.
🌸 Flower — I Connect
We explore friendship, communication, healthy relationships, empathy, courage and how we connect with others.
🌻 Seeds Again — I Give Back
Growth doesn’t end with ourselves. We discover how we can encourage others, contribute to our families and communities, and carry what we’ve learned forward.
And then the cycle begins again.
Because when a young woman knows that she belongs, understands herself, cares for herself, trusts her own voice and knows how to build healthy connections — she has something powerful to offer the world.
We aren’t trying to make young women into something.
We’re creating the conditions for them to discover who they already are, and supporting them as they grow. 🌱
